Rural Urban Day is a steak fry and picnic for the community in honor of Gratiot County’s farming heritage. The event will take place at the Gratiot County Fair for Youth Fairgrounds. Dinner will run from 4:30pm until 7:00pm and we’ll have steak, beans, sweet corn, bread, pickles, and milk representing a large group of farm products that are produced in Gratiot County. There will be activities for and fun for the whole family. We will also present the Farm Family and Farm Business of the year.

New this year, Rural Urban Day will also feature a concert that will start around 7:00pm, after the traditional end of the event. Our inaugural concert will feature The Tallon Weatherby Band and is thanks to the support of Commercial Bank. It will be for Rural Urban attendees to stay a little longer and enjoy a warm summer evening with their neighbors.

Tickets are only $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event and cover both the dinner and the concert. Tickets are available at Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce (110 W. Superior St., Alma, MI) as well as: Bader & Sons, Chemical Bank, Commercial Bank, Greenstone Farm Credit Services, Isabella Bank, MAC – Breckenridge, Mercantile Bank, and St. Louis City Hall.
