About the Scholarship

The HINDSight Scholarship was established in 2023 to honor Adalynn Ann Hinds, a brilliant, brave, kind, 7th grade student from Fulton Middle School. Addy loved all animals, softball, spicy food, pickles, and spending time with her family and friends. Addy had a contagious laugh and an incredible ability to brighten a room with her immense outgoing personality. Addy left the world abruptly on January 3rd, 2023, at the age of 12. The HINDSight Scholarship is a gift of love from her parents, as she was a gift to know and love. In HINDSight, there is an understanding of a situation, but not always the ability to change the outcome. Addy lost her life to depression, a silent and often misunderstood battle. Her family created a scholarship in hopes to support students of Fulton High School & Gratiot County in pursuing careers in Education, Human Services, and Healthcare.

Each student who applies for the HINDSight Scholarship is honoring Addy’s life, as well as their own. Remember you are the future, and the world is better because you are in it!

Thank you for supporting a mission to cultivate kindness.

“Be kinder to yourself, and let your kindness flood the world.”
