About the Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to graduating seniors of Ithaca High School who participated in the Ithaca Rotary Club's Junior Rotarian program and demonstrate outstanding commitment to service the community.

Number of Awards and Value

Requirements

  • Must be a graduating senior attending Ithaca High School that participated in Ithaca High School/Ithaca Rotary Club Junior Rotarian Program;
  • Must be a legal resident of Gratiot County;
  • Applicant must use scholarship in the pursuit of undergraduate education;
  • Must demonstrate high moral character and participate in service to the community;
  • Must submit a completed Gratiot County Community Foundation Scholarship Application;
  • Must submit a list of all Ithaca Rotary Club community service events for which he/she volunteered, and
  • Must submit an essay entitled, "The Importance of Community Service". This essay is to reflect the student's service involvement in the community and what community service means to them.  The essay is to include examples of the student's community service, be no longer than one page and not include the students name on the front of the essay, but on a separate cover sheet.
