About the Scholarship
The Sarah J. Bentley Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Sarah (Sally) J. Bentley with a bequest from her estate in 2022. This fund awards scholarships annually to students residing in Gratiot County to pursue a post-secondary education, including college, university, vocational or post-graduate education.
Number of Awards and Value
Up to four scholarships, for $2,000 each.
Requirements
-Must reside in Gratiot County and be either a graduating high school senior OR full-time student enrolled in post-secondary educational institution including college, university, vocational and post-graduate study OR previous scholarship recipient;
-Preference given to those demonstrating academic achievement, community service and financial need.
