How to Join YAC

How to Join YAC

Any high school student from Gratiot County can join YAC.  Please download a
Membership Form if you are interested in joining or call the Foundation with any questions and ask to speak with Tina (989) 875-4222.

Why Join YAC?

Who is in YAC?

Students from every Gratiot County high school are encouraged to join!  Tell your friends!

When do we meet and what do we do?

Meetings are just one Sunday each month during the school year and other times if we need to in order to organize events and service activities.  There are lots of community service projects you can take part in, like CROP Walk, Alma College Relay for Life, Community Café and activities with the folks at Masonic Pathways like a “Senior” Prom.  And, of course, the annual Youth Talent Showcase!

What do you do, besides community service?

You might have the chance to pick other youth groups to get grants from the Foundation for their community service projects.  It’s really fun to read the applications, especially from the kindergarteners!

Other Reasons to Join YAC Include:

  • Meet new friends from all over Gratiot County.
  • Learn about grantmaking.
  • Get hands on experience improving the community you live in.
  • Add to your resume for college or work.
  • Free Food!
