Leaf Raking
Location: Alma Family Practice on Pine Avenue
Time: 1:00-3:00pm
Rake leaves through the Commission on Aging

November 24
Holiday Decorating
Location: 1200 Wright Avenue, Alma (Masonic Pathways)
Time: 1:00-3:00pm
Help make Masonic Pathways sparkle with holiday cheer. You will help to put up the many Christmas trees and visit with residents

*November 28
Gratiot County Thanksgiving Meal
Location: 495 Charles Avenue, Alma (First Presbyterian Church) 
Time: 1:00-3:00pm
Select to serve and make Thanksgiving special for those who are along or can not afford to have a Thanksgiving meal. Select from one of the following options: 6:00am, potato peeling 9:00am, decorating 11:00am, serving

December 8
Visiting and Caroling
Location: 1200 Wright Avenue, Alma (Masonic Pathways)
Time: 1:00-3:00pm
You will go throughout the facility and visit with residents and sing to them. Special flowers will be given to help people know that someone cares. If there is interest, some YACers will play board games with residents and possibly tie blankets for people in need, Christmas attire is encouraged

Señora Kaufmann Memorial Scholarship

 
   

The Señora Kaufmann Memorial Scholarship was established in November 2020 by the family of Sally Kaufmann to honor her decades of service to teaching and continue her legacy in foreign language and education.  Señora Kaufmann’s passion for teaching Spanish and Hispanic culture, along with her special gift for connecting with her students and colleagues, made her a beloved educator.

Sally Kaufmann was dedicated to helping students further their education, achieve their goals, and literally explore the world.  She was a loyal confidant to countless students with whom she shared her wisdom and listened to their dreams. It is her family’s hope that the Señora Kaufmann Memorial Scholarship will assist Alma High School and other Gratiot County students pursue their passion in foreign language, travel, and international studies.
