Don and Irene Pavlik Memorial Scholarship

 

Scholarship Information

 
 

This scholarship is made available in loving memory of Don and Irene Pavlik who  lost their lives tragically on July 23, 2010.  Don and his wife are remembered for their dedication to the field of education and their deep involvement with the community.  This scholarship is awarded to assist graduating seniors from Alma, Breckenridge or St. Louis in obtaining post-secondary, vocational or technical education at an accredited college, university or trade school. 

 

Scholarship Criteria

 

·         Must be a graduating senior from Breckenridge, Alma or St. Louis High Schools and pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited college, university or trade school;

·         Preference given to those pursuing a degree in the field of education.

 
One scholarship available for as much as $1,200.

Señora Kaufmann Memorial Scholarship

 
   

The Señora Kaufmann Memorial Scholarship was established in November 2020 by the family of Sally Kaufmann to honor her decades of service to teaching and continue her legacy in foreign language and education.  Señora Kaufmann’s passion for teaching Spanish and Hispanic culture, along with her special gift for connecting with her students and colleagues, made her a beloved educator.

Sally Kaufmann was dedicated to helping students further their education, achieve their goals, and literally explore the world.  She was a loyal confidant to countless students with whom she shared her wisdom and listened to their dreams. It is her family’s hope that the Señora Kaufmann Memorial Scholarship will assist Alma High School and other Gratiot County students pursue their passion in foreign language, travel, and international studies.
